Teacher Laptop Checkout

Laptop Checkout Policy

The laptop computers at all Garden County Schools' attendance sites are the property of the district and fixed assets of the school system.  The intended purpose of providing laptop computers for teachers is to allow for mobility within the district, assist teachers in carrying out their professional responsibilities, and provide opportunities for continued professional growth.  

Teachers will be allowed to take laptops home as needed, but they must be checked out through the technology department.

When teachers take laptops out of the school building, they are responsible for the laptop at all times.  If the laptop is damaged or stolen as a result of negligence while in the personal possession of the teacher, the teacher will assume financial responsibility.

All employees who are in possession of a district owned laptop and intend to use it outside of the school building must complete a checkout form.  Submit or return competed forms to Julie Jorgensen:  juliej@panesu.org
