The Memorial Garden at the Garden County Elementary School was dedicated to Jeannie Nelson and Michelle Cook on Halloween. These two ladies were very special to the staff and students at the Elementary.
Sarah Paisley, Garden County Extension Educator spoke at the dedication about the plans for the revitalization of the Memorial Garden.
A $500 grant from Farm Credit Services was awarded to a youth group, represented by Peyton Stanczyk, to help revive this special garden and to give back to the community.
Emily Nelson Russell, a teacher at the Elementary respresented the Nelson family.
Dave Cook, Michelle’s husband attended the program and will help with this project. Students from the Elementary showed their approval for this project too.
